It's not bad, but it doesn't stand out compared to others. It looks fresh and clean on the outside, but it is repetitive and gets boring for me. It's a little better in Co-op play. I can see that it would be a good time waster to play on a phone, but for a PC or console game, it needs to be a lot more. One of the disappointing aspects of the game is the impact of hits and throws. I feel like I'm punching or tossing feathers, so it doesn't feel satisfying. You'll get power-ups and special moves during the game, but it didn't change the feeling for me. The appearance of the game is great, it just needs to be more innovative and have more impact when playing.. It's a fun game. Do not expect anything new, it is just a simple game but entertaining. This key was obtained from the publisher for the purposes of review. Summary: If you're looking for a hardcore beat em up experience, you're going to need to look else where. But if you're looking for a casual beat em up, or want to be introduced to the genre, then Big Action Mega Fight will fill that need for you. The simple mechanics of gameplay are easy to pick up, and easy to play out with simple dodging and a special meter that may charge a little too fast, but allows for you to throw specials around willy nilly. The game gets repetitive quickly, as there's not a good amount of variety in the gameplay. But from a simple visual standpoint, the game works as great characters and animation bring life to battles. The sound design in particular is nice, which was unexpected from a PC port. The difficulty is too easy for my tastes as I prefer games like Phantom Breaker and Double Dragon Neon, but for those who want something a little more simple, a 5 dollar price tag seems to fit the game in question. Score chasing elements are fun, as ridiculous multipliers can be gotten if you play perfectly. Strong stylized character design highlights a strong cartoon aesthetic. Surprising good game audio for a mobile port. Isolating the sound by turning it off, it's clear you miss it with the missing sound effects of explosions and punches, and the music complements the action rather well. Performance is strong with rare exceptions. 60 FPS with no dips 99% of the time. Good references to old games here, obviously pays respect to old, and some new games as well. There's exploding chickens. Who doesn't love exploding chickens? Well, except the chickens them selves. But for them, I don't give a cluck. (I'll see my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ humor out the door)-: The game is easy, even for people who may not play a lot of the genre. If you're expecting a challenge, you won't get it here unless you do score chasing. Lack of variety on a lot of fronts. While the game attempts to ramp up difficulty with more, you'll be fighting the same enemies over and over again. Some of that is the genre, but I feel this is on the wrong side of the tracks on this one. Lack of enemy variety. When I mean basic gameplay here in the beat em up genre, I mean basic gameplay. The game can be beat in about 2 hours. 35 stages which are really short in several cases (under a minute). Lack of options from a Mobile port. Basic sound sliders and resolution I would expect as minimums for the PC platform.. It's not too hard to make a Streets of Rage spoof but it's hard to make one that stands out among the innumerable spoofs, homages, and rip-offs out there. Big Action Mega Fight! tries to be funny and cute but comes across as obnoxious and quickly gets very boring with it's bland, lifeless and repetitive levels, a tiny amount of characters, and forgetable music. The moves are very basic with only punching and a few silly specials available. There's no kicking, no grappling, no jumping, and no combos.At 38 levels across various parts of a city it's mercifully short and works fine as a casual game to eat up five or ten minutes here and there. But once you finish this you'll never think of it again. The achievements do not pop on-screen nor do they tally in the stats, so you'll never know where you stand with some of the grinding achievements, meaning you have to revert back to the Steam overlay to check, which is annoying.At this price point, I can't complain, but a classic is certainly ain't.. Great Game :). This took just over 2 hours to complete this 2D side scroller, Which pays great homage to classics such as Double Dragon and Streets of Rage.You play as Brick Strongarm, and help Brooke and Coach rescue Hawk, yet it isn't a co-op game, and those aren't playable characters either, which is a disappointment.The game has a levelling system, were you can upgrade your health, specials etc, and while pricey I did Max out two of the three tree systems, so and second play through would attain a full experience.The dialogue was very funny and well thought out, classic save the day nostalgia. Excellent sound with some of the tracks taking obvious inspiration from the 16bit god himself Yuzo Koshiro! With the artwork as a cartoon style and similar enemies from the Streets of Rage series, even those dirt bikers from SoRII! While there are 38 levels, they were very short, it is a mobile port, so I can see why. But it plays wonderful letting me complete it in two short stints. Through the first 10-20 stages I was aiming for 3 stars each level, but as the swarms of chickens approach it became very frustrating, something I will look to try on my second play through.Overall, an enjoyable game, but it could have had a little bit more, still a thumbs up from me, for the nostalgia!. Big Action Mega Fight! is a game that I recommend because:- is a method to banish boredom- it has trading cards- it has action- it is indie Enjoy!. Ported directly from phone to PC with some oversights for PC. Lock on to enemies which can harm you more than help you, when doing the tutorial it told me to swipe to punch? Swipe what exactly? Had to mash my keyboard to find out the correct button to use. Can't use the mouse scroll wheel to navigate menus, but you can click and drag. Yeah, no.
